"From the agents of Nirvana collection, Krishna Das (Prithviraj) learns that his ancestral home in Kerala, leased out to an NGO by his ancestor, is rich in metals and is easy to be frustrated as the lease term has ended. The multinational mining organization allows him a large sum of money as advance. The NGO currently runs a public building in the land, which is found inside the Kannadi Forest Range. When he and his friend Thanseer (Prabhu Deva) move the plot, they are captured by the local tribal men to a cave long in the woods. Krishna Das faces their chief Thangachan (Arya) in the cave. Thangachan explains to him that he is the descendant of one Chirakkal Kelu Nayanar.
In the early 16th century, the Portuguese sailors under Vasco da Gama (Robin Pratt) captured a pilgrim ship and took everything the passengers as securities. The officer of the Chirakkal Kingdom gives a Brahmin authority and his own son, Kelu, to the defeated ship for discussions on the pilgrims. But, da Gama refused all love discussions and barbarously leaves off the Brahmin's ears and parts ears of his puppy on the right spot.
He then placed the hundreds of customers be obtained in the hold and the ship to be set on fire. The officer of Chirakkal, Chirakkal Kothuwal, violence ship to save his son Kelu. But, Chirakkal Kothuwal loses his life in this effort, including only Kelu escapes. Vavvali, a Tamil Muslim boy, gets Kelu with him to his hut and adopts him as his younger brother. Kelu forms an urumi, specially created with the leftover trimmings of the besides women and children of the pioneer ship. He continues an oath that he will kill Vasco da Gama.
Then it shows a foreshadowing of Kelu and Vavvali as adults chasing rabbits in a forest nearby in Chirakkal. After saving the monarch of Chirakkal (Nithya Menon) of a collection of kidnappers, Chirakkal Thampuram (Amole Gupte) gives them an account. During the audience, Kelu leads to get the help from the king of Chirakkal to capture da Gama who is coming after to India as the Viceroy. They plan to take Vasco da Gama when the hanging of Balia Hasan in Arackal Fort. However, the first capture Estêvão da Gama (Alexx O'Neill) also brings him as a prisoner to Chirakkal. In the process, Kelu stretches over Princess Ayesha (Genelia D'Souza), a violent fighter king of Arackal Kovilakom.
Back in Chirakkal, the king bestow's Kelu with the honor of being the new officer (""Kothuval""). Vavvali, however, is moderately impoverished as the king forgot to admit his role in the acquisition of Estêvão.
Princess Ayesha is among captives from the attack in Arackal and she is given to the spoiled prince Bhanu Vikraman (Ankur Khanna) as a prostitute. However, she decides to kill the prince and Kelu Nayanar saves him. Later, Kelu helps Ayesha to gain of Chirakkal and she needs to join in his way. Kelu tells Vavvali that they need to be planning to capture Vasco da Gama. They set out to all the nearby villages, with Ayesha following their business, destroying all fixing structures built by the Portuguese. A large number of poor souls join with Kelu, and characters go ready to stop anytime.
Meanwhile, with help of minister Chenichery Kurup (Jagathy Sreekumar), Bhanu Vikraman conspires against his daddy and join hands with Estêvão da Gama. He slays his father with a Portuguese pistol. Kelu Nayanar returns to Chirakkal to consult with Bhanu Vikraman what steps to take against de Gama, but Bhanu hesitantly says that the army commands no great take classes from Kelu. Chirakkal Bala, asks Vavvali to take her with him, as she feels angry that her own brother killed their father. Vavvali matches and leads her away with the help of some of the castle guards.
Meanwhile, da Gama and his son return to Chirakkal to meet with the current king. However, Bhanu Vikraman is removed during the meeting. Soon thereafter, da Gama arrives with his troops in the analysis of Kelu and his soldiers. The Indians lose the game, with Kelu Nayanar and Vavvali killed in combat. Hearing the story of his parents, Krishna Das decides not to trade his land to the multinational opportunity service and intends to begin a new life."
